*Pan is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, rustic music and companion of the nymphs. He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat. He is also recognized as the god of fields, groves, wooded glens, and often affiliated with sex; because of this, Pan is connected to fertility and the season of spring. Pan was not worshipped in temples or other built edifices, but in natural settings, usually caves or grottoes such as the one on the north slope of the Acropolis of Athens.

*Actual color in real life looks closer to the last photo where I'm holding it with a glove.
**Gold plating means that the bronze statue is covered with a thin layer of 24 karat gold. If the statue falls or is scratched with a hard/sharp object the thin layer might be affected on the spot of impact.
My goal was to make a bust that resembles semi withered marble or bronze statues found in archaeological sites all over Greece, many of which can be found in various museums in and out of the country. For the same reason I eventually chose not to create a base for the bust as I personally enjoy the way it stands out on it's own wherever it is placed while at the same time the lack of any extraneous piece would either make it look as a toy or a touristic merchandise. This way it feels more like an archaeological find than a mere gadget, and I prefer it that way.
